Special 2010

Since 5 years, this Fair dedicated to decoration, gardens and life-style has taken in Aix-en-Provence, outdoors in the sunshine, in the parc Jourdan. An exceptional event to celebrate the 20th birthday of Maisons Côté Sud around the theme of the Fair : "that holidays feeling..."

Holidays cottages

Well-known decorators imagined the perfect Holdiday Cottage :

Jacqueline Morabito : a greenhouse like a "Summer hang-out"

Sylvie Serodon and Pierre Gauthier : "The Launes cottage"

Philippe Xerri : "The Tunisian cottage"

Françoise Dorget : a textile welter like "Garden Gossips and palavers during summer"

Annick Lestrohan : "Honore’s experimental cooking cottage"

Henri Quinta : A break for a lemonade under an awning "on the Holiday road". "The sailor and his bette’s rest", this is the name of this elegant and traditional boat with a low deck, from 1959, and that belongs to the Mediterranean Shipping Patrimon.

Serge Bensimon : The tent "Modern Country, a summer lifestyle". Conviviality, hapiness to be together, true moments of sharing and reenchantement.

The pond in the parc Jourdan transformed into a temporary port with a fleet of "pointus". The sails made up with fabrics from well-known manufacturers : Pierre Frey, Lelièvre, Créations Baumann, Manuel Canovas, Brunschwig, Créations Métaphores, Elitis, Zimmer & Rhodes, Bisson-Brunel, Sahco Hesslein Toiles de Mayenne, Les Olivades, ...
These magnificent 1 metre long scale-models of authentic "pointus" are currently being prepared. Some of them will be for sale at the Fair. Please note : each one is totally unique !

Maisons Côté Sud photography exhibition

The celebrate its 20th birthday, Maisons Côté Sud presents an exclusive selection of around 20 photographs, based on the theme "stolen moments", all taken by photographers who have built up the reputation of the Magazine since its beginnings. The exhibition will then go on to Arles to participate in the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie (International Photography Meeting).

Culinary show by Reine Sammut

Cook, exchange views, savour : a summer gastronomy experience in an elegant gazebo, the "5th Room" of Xavie’Z. Designed by Xavier Pottiez, this architectural space houses his In’Out Kitchen, made up of mobile elements and modules all in natural materials such as oak ans stone. Admire Reine Sammut’s sunny cooking and take home some recipes for the coming summer. Holiday cooking demonstrations every day from 11 to 3.30 pm. Friday at 7 pm by the pond.

Children’ Cabins

Recycled cardboard, driftwood, wooden fruit boxes, string, material, sand, pebbles, paint, crayons... like real decorators, the children will be able to create their imaginary holiday cabins and scale-models of their creations will be exhibited on the stand.
